The nor’easter up north has brought us monster waves: 15 – 17 feet. (I love my Olympus Tough camera, but it cannot provide sharp pictures at these distances – nevertheless, you’ll get the idea.) Lots of white water.
On the horizon – mountains are visible.
These are NOT distant islands. They are mountains of water — covered with frothing white foam and spume. Moving southward.
Whitewater cascading down the wave mountains much like an avalanche of snow.
Exploding over the Elbow Cay reef.
Then racing to shore.
Showing off their power.
So glad we are safely moored in Hope Town’s protected harbor.
Wow…. I’m thinking I would be seasick! Stay safe!
WOW! Glad you’re safe!
