Hot here!  Since we’re temporarily at a dock at the Hopetown Inn & Marina, we decided to take advantage of its facilities.  Yesterday we spent some time in the hot tub and pool.

This is the smaller pool – the one without a bar or TV.  It’s just steps from our boat.  Relaxing, quiet, beautiful – not just the pool, but the entire marina.  Here is the view from our slip at the marina.

And the view from our boat out into the harbor:

That’s the view now, in early November.  Last April, from almost the same spot, we could only see the sides of the mega-yachts that towered over us.  Better now.

Today we walked the beach to On Da Beach.   But first, a trip across the harbor on the marina’s brand new shuttle.

Then a gorgeous walk through the lush tropical gardens of Hopetown’s cottages.

And finally that unbelievable beach.

To a perfect beach bar, to meet a good friend and enjoy amazing chicken souse, with the sound of the surf as background.   Luckily, we are stoic Midwesterners, not given to whining, and thus able to endure this existence with resolute cheerfulness.
